Chen Wangqiu (1933) was born in Yinxian, Zhejiang Province. She graduated in 1954 from the East China Branch of the Central Art Academy. After graduation, Ms. Chen worked as an arts editor for the Tianjin Fine Arts Publishing House, where she was responsible for New Year pictures and propaganda designs.
